I have had to multicultural poetry books published and am writing my memoir funded by an Arts Council grant, I am also a creative writing and poetry workshop facilitator.
I am Ovarian Cancer survivor and unfortunately had a recurrence last year where I had multiple surgeries to remove both my ovaries and cysts, lost my fertility, periods and all my hair during chemotherapy. I also got Covid and am going through horrendous surgical menopause at just 38, I had had fertility treatment and have had eight eggs frozen as well retaining my womb but am not in remission. I have been in National media recently due to having had Ovarian Cancer, Covid and Surgical Menopause: Daily Mail, Mirror, Sunday Express, BBC Radio 4, BBC Asian Network, Huffington Post, Good House Keeping Magazine, Take A Break Magazine and many more. I have also fronted a campaign for Target Ovarian Cancer for Cancer Research UK, Ovacome and Ovarian Cancer Action, Mind Therapy, Cancer Research UK and Temple Spa
