I grew up watching actors on stage and screen and reading magazines with the most beautiful women pictured, yet I could never find someone I could relate to. I want to break the stereotypical beauty standards of todays society and prove that everyone is beautiful in their own right. It doesn’t matter what size or shape you are, what scars or stretch marks you have, or whether you’re differently abled from the societal ‘norm’, anyone can be a part of the media industry. I think it’s extremely important to show the younger generations, current and yet to come, that you don’t have to look a certain way to be accepted within a somewhat unattainable beauty standard or to be able to strive for your dream job; you can grow up to be anything and anyone you want to be.
