About Me:

I had a 40 year career in education which took me from being a teacher of English, Media Studies, Drama and Music to being a deputy head in a secondary school and a university lecturer in teacher education. I have also worked for the last ten years at Glyndebourne Opera where I manage the Front of House and Usher teams and where this season, I will be acting onstage in one of the productions. I am also a choral singer to a high standard
on the concert platform and in the recording studio. I can play the piano to a competent standard.
I have worked as an SA for the last couple of years and in that time I have been involved in around 30 projects embracing film, TV and adverts. This includes featured role opportunities. I have also participated in three photoshoots, two for lifestyle promotions and the other for an exhibition.
I am looking to develop my involvement in the industry in two ways. I have a ‘bucket list’ for SA work which includes period costume dramas, soap operas and working in the large film studios. Although I am not aiming to become a voice actor, with a background in education, lecturing and performing, I am certainly capable of giving it a go! Having dipped my toe into the world of the model, I would also like to expand my work in this area. I see myself as having a role particularly in the lifestyle, commercial and catalogue areas of the industry.
So what have I to offer? I see myself as an emerging versatile, affable, enthusiastic and reliable model. I am an extremely hardworking and committed individual with the confidence needed to be a great model. I am recognised for my capacity of responding to direction and being comfortable in front of a camera. I am highly adaptable and able to fit into a range of themes, styles and looks. I have a realistic picture of how the industry works and my SA involvements have shown me that one has to be patient, positive, resilient and compliant!
I think that my potential was illustrated yesterday. I was booked for lifestyle modelling shoot in Brighton (apparently from 300 applicants) with three other models. My enthusiasm, humour, appearance and professionalism were commented upon by the photographer and the other models. Above all, we had great fun, which for me, is one of the main things I want to get out of all of this!
